Back to School Prayer Rally set Aug. 4 at Bradenton Tropical Palms Auditorium
The Education Committee of the One Group Consortium will hold the second annual Back to School Prayer Rally as a community service initiative for Manatee County.
This group of volunteers established the Back to School Prayer Rally before the start of each school year in Manatee County. The only agenda is to provide a central location for people of faith, who are passionate about the education of children, to pray for God’s blessing over the Manatee County School District system, its families, students and employees.
The nondenominational event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Bradenton Tropical Palms Auditorium, 2310 14th St. W., Bradenton.
“We are extremely grateful to have the support of several churches, ministries and civic organizations which have helped to make this year’s event possible. The Bradenton Tropical Palms Auditorium is a wonderful facility to gather in and seek God’s favor and blessing for a safe and successful school year,” said event Chairman Frank Brunner.
The event will also feature education field services in the lobby of the auditorium.
The event will begin with music and the “Hour of Prayer” at 6:30 p.m. Prayer Leaders Team members will take turns praying over specific groups of people involved in the education field, while attendees will pray for specific people and schools in Manatee County.
“This rally is intended to bless everyone involved with education in our community, from students and their families, to the superintendent and school board members and everyone in between. Whether people have students in school, or work as a teacher, a bus driver, a custodian. ... it doesn’t matter. We encourage all people who would like to come and pray to attend,” said Brunner.
