SOLVE Maternity Homes hopes to raise $25,000 for women in crisis pregnancies

SOLVE Maternity Homes hopes to make $25,000 with its seventh-annual rummage sale from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Parish Hall at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 2850 75th Street W.

The hall will be filled with furniture, clothing, knickknacks and antiques.

Rummage sale proceeds have grown steadily from $4,000 the first year to $22,000 in 2015.

SOLVE Maternity Homes for the past 40 years has assisted women in crisis pregnancies by guiding them toward independent living. With 20 resident beds, SOLVE operates three homes in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
