Bradenton Marauders will raise money Sunday for Dallas police victims

The Bradenton Marauders will raise funds to benefit the Assist the Officer Foundation of Dallas at the team’s annual Public Safety Day.

Money raised will benefit the families of the five Dallas Police Department officers killed in Thursday’s attack. The Marauders play host to the Brevard County Manatees. Gates open at noon and the game starts at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Marauders will donate $2 from every ticket sold to Sunday’s game. Additional donations to the Assist the Officer Foundation will be accepted at the box office, team merchandise store and guest relations booth. All money generated at the prize wheel will also be donated.

The game is a Family Fun Sunday. Youngsters 12 and under can run the bases after the game in the Kids Fun Run presented by Mosaic. The game will be followed by the annual Bradenton Police Department versus Bradenton Fire Department softball game.
