Boat near Beer Can Island takes on water
Just before 2 p.m. Monday, authorities received a call about a boat north of Longboat Pass taking on water.
Marine rescue was attending to the boat near Beer Can Island after the incident was called in, according to a Manatee County Public Safety representative. The status of the boat’s passengers was not yet reported.
