Bradenton man crashes into county bus, flips minivan
A Bradenton man crashed into a Manatee County Area Transit bus and flipped his own minivan around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The man was traveling westbound on 63rd Avenue East when he collided with the MCAT bus, which was traveling south on Ninth Street East when it was struck by the man’s white Chrysler van.
A driver behind the county bus, Brandon Hayes, who works as a utility locator for Manatee County, said he saw the van run a red light and hit the bus.
“Definitely a doozy,” he said.
No injuries occurred, but the Bradenton man said his chest hurt and had some scratches on his arm.
FHP was investigating the crash.
