The Palmetto Riverside Park West boat ramp will be closed from midnight Sunday to midnight Monday for Palmetto’s Fourth of July celebration. Motorists also are reminded that the Green Bridge will close on July 4 from 8:30-11 p.m. for the fireworks show, which begins at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Palmetto welcomes local classic rock band Big Daddy, which takes the stage at Sutton Park at 5 p.m. to be followed by the headline act, Smash Mouth at 7 p.m. A bloodmobile will be on site for blood donations.

The concerts are free to the public, but canned foods are being requested as part of the Mayors’ Feed the Hungry campaign.

For more information regarding the festival, contact the Palmetto Community Redevelopment Agency at 941-723-4988.
