The Bradenton Riverwalk splash park will reopen at noon Wednesday.

The splash park closed due to repairs needed for three holes in the pad, which exposed the concrete underneath.

Jonathan Weaver, supervisor of Bradenton parks and recreation, said Monday that the damage was likely caused by the combination cracks in the pad, created by water underneath, and children picking apart those cracks.

The city is looking into permanent solutions to the ongoing problem.
