Sen. Galvano hosts food and clothing drive for Turning Points

Florida State Senator Bill Galvano is hosting a two-day food and clothing drive at his district office in Bradenton at 1023 Manatee Ave. W. to benefit the Bill Galvano One Stop Center/Turning Points.

The office will host drop-off items from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Should anyone not be able to drop off items in person, Galvano’s staff is available for assistance by calling 941-741-3401.

“Turning Points does a great job providing temporary and long-term assistance to Manatee County residents,” said Galvano. “Community support is essential to their mission.”

Clothing items most in need:

  • Jeans, adult men (32-38)
  • Athletic shoes
  • New socks
  • New underwear (men and women)
  • Work boots (all sizes, steel toe needed)
  • Diapers, sizes 4-6
  • Reading glasses
  • Toys and games
  • Paperback books
  • Baby formula
  • Toothpaste/toothbrush
  • Shampoo, conditioner, razors, soap
  • Washcloths and towels
  • Blankets and sleeping bags
  • Mosquito repellant
  • Bike locks/chains
  • Bungee cords
  • Drop Cloths
