Bradenton’s McKechnie Field, home of the Bradenton Marauders and the spring training home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, is in the running to be named a “Best of the Ballparks” by the readers of the online Ballpark Digest.

McKechnie Field, which was originally built in 1923 on Ninth Avenue West in Bradenton, is competing among other High-A facilities -- the Mauraders play in the High-A Florida State League -- and has already advanced to the second round of voting in the bracket-style competition. This week, McKechnie is up against Steinbrenner Field in Tampa.

You can vote here. Voting for this round ends at 10 p.m. Friday.

Earlier this year, Ballpark Digest named McKechnie Field the best spring training facility in Florida.
