Missing Bradenton girl, mother found OK in Connecticut

BRADENTON -- A 10-year-old girl and her mother who were the subjects of a missing child alert this week have been found at their home in Connecticut, according to Bradenton police.

Susan E. Knight told law enforcement she had no idea that anyone was looking for her and her daughter since her phone was turned off, according to a news release.

Florida authorities issued the alert early Wednesday, after Knight stormed out of a Bradenton apartment with her daughter after a family argument.

Police said mother and daughter are in good health in Enfield, Conn., and there are no charges pending in the case.
