Bradenton splash park set to reopen Friday after repair

The Bradenton Riverwalk splash park, closed since May 5 because of damage to the water park’s padding, will be repaired on Thursday, and reopened on Friday, according to the city of Bradenton.

At first, the city thought the damage was the work of malicious vandals, but a review of security camera footage revealed that a group of 3-to-5-year-olds was responsible.

The city Wednesday said a crew was scheduled to make the repairs on Thursday, and that the park would be reopened on Friday.
