Manatee County issues boil water notice for seven addresses

MANATEE -- Manatee County has issued a boil water notice for seven addresses in the county during a water main tie in.

Water will be shut off between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday at the following addresses on 14th Street West: 5325, 5327, 5410, 5411, 5415 and 5425. The notice is also issued for 1200 54th Ave. W.

Once service is restored, customers are advised to boil all water used for drinking or cooking as a precaution, according to a news release. Bottled water may be used as an alternative.

"A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient," according to the release.

The precautionary boil water notice "will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey has shown the water to be safe, normally 24-48 hours," according to the release. "A rescission notice will be issued when lifted."
