MANATEE -- Thoughout this week, there has been a haze of fog throughout the Bradenton-Sarasota area, including Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says it will cease Thursday.

"We don't expect any fog after tomorrow morning around 9 a.m.," NWS meteorologist Tom Dougherty said Wednesday night. "Some of it is patchy in nature. It can form and reform and get thinner and then get thicker again, but conditions are ripe for it to last through the overnight hours."

Thursday will be mostly sunny with only a few clouds and temperatures around 81 degrees, he added.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Brian McClure, there will be a 50 percent chance of rain Friday and Saturday.

"Sunday, the rain goes away as the cold front moves in," he told the Herald. "Monday will definitely be cooler. You'll notice a difference on Sunday and a drastic difference on Monday."
