Tornado warning issued for Manatee County expired

MANATEE -- A tornado warning, which was issued for northeastern Manatee County, expired at 1 p.m..

The warning also included southeastern Hillsborough County, northwestern Hardee County amd southwestern Polk County, according to the National Weather Service.

"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado," the warning reads. "However gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm."

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Sarasota County, southwestern DeSoto County and northwestern Charlotte County until 1:30 p.m.
