West Manatee Fire District to hold two open houses in March

MANATEE -- The West Manatee Fire Rescue will hold two informational open houses in March.

The "Neighborhood Open House" will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 12 at Station 1, 6001 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach; and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 19 at Station 2, 10350 Cortez Road W., Bradenton.

Each open house "will provide guests with potentially life-saving and fun-filled facts and will showcase the uniqueness of each station with respect to the neighborhood it was built to serve."

The open houses are designed for people of all ages and will have equipment displays, live demonstrations, children's activities and free refreshments.
