Sunny skies, cool highs expected for Manatee County weekend
MANATEE -- Scattered showers will proceed southward through Tampa Bay between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. Friday exiting Polk, Manatee, and Sarasota counties before noon, according to Bay News 9 meteorologist Brian McClure.
Friday morning lows will be in the upper 60s to low 70s, he said.
A cold front pushed by e a strong north wind will bring in cooler, drier air immediately following the rain so the morning temperature near 70 will also be the high for the day. Temperatures will drop into the 60s through the afternoon.
Clouds will linger most of the day but finally start to clear out Friday night. Cold air will move in with lows in the 40s in Manatee County.
After a chilly start Saturday morning, the afternoon will be beautiful with sunny skies and cool highs in the 60s. Saturday night will not be quite as cold, but still on the cool side with temps bottoming in the 40s.
Sunday will be a beautiful day with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 70s.
The cool is coming if only for a short while.
Forecasters expect the heat and humidity to return next week.
