Bradenton man dies after being pulled from pool

MANATEE -- A 58-year-old man has died the day after being pulled from a swimming pool by his wife.

Orien Drew died Sunday morning in a Bradenton hospital. He was discovered at 4:30 p.m. Saturday by his wife, floating face down in the deep end of the pool at a home in the 3800 block of 35th Avenue Drive West, Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The couple recently moved to Manatee County from Michigan, authorities said.

His wife told deputies she left the house at about 2:50 p.m. Saturday, leaving her husband at home with the dog.
