MANATEE -- A weak cold front has moved through the area leaving drier and slightly cooler air, according to Mike Clay, Bay News 9 chief meteorologist.

Veterans Day should be sunny and warm, Clay said, with low humidity.

The dry airmass will warm up quickly and highs will be back to the mid-80s.

The weather stays the same Thursday with little change. By Friday, another front comes in quickly, which could produce severe weather in the Midwest.

By the time it reaches Florida on Friday, the front will have little moisture to work with and will be weaker. This front could only produce a few clouds and sprinkles.

After this second front moves through, it will cool Manatee County down for the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lows in the 60s.

High clouds will return from the southwest with strong winds aloft. High thin clouds could be back over the weekend and will be thicker Sunday afternoon into Monday.

November is normally Manatee County's driest month of the year and is again this year. There is not another good chance of rain on the forecast for several more days. After a brief cooldown this weekend, the weather will warm up again next week.
