Dick Vitale benefit raises more than $50,000 for pediatric cancer research
MANATEE -- The Second Annual "Wine, Dine & Make a Difference" dinner has raised $52,470 for pediatric cancer research.
The dinner, hosted by Dick and Lorraine Vitale, was held at Main Street Trattoria on Oct. 27 to benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
More than 100 attendees attended and Paddle Raise challenges offered by Craig and JoEllen Mettille and Anthony and Debbie DiMare were exceeded by those in attendance.
The event was underwritten by Ernie Garcia of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. "Our Second Annual wine dinner was sold out, thanks to all those who generously supported us, helping to raise over $52,000 for kids battling cancer," Dick Vitale said.
