Manatee County's 2015 property tax collection begins Tuesday

MANATEE -- Manatee County Tax Collector's Office will begin collecting the 2015 property taxes Tuesday.

The office will mail 164,466 annual property tax bills and informational notices Tuesday, according to a news release.

"The Property Appraiser valued the 2015 tax assessment roll at $33,925,049.275­­­­­. The total 2015 taxes to be collected by the Tax Collector is $552,233,491.42­­­­­," according to the release.

Taxes can be paid online at taxcollector.com. To print a duplicate bill, pay current and delinquent taxes and print receipts for 1998 through 2015 tax years, go to taxcollector.com, as well.

The 4 percent discount period has been extended for annual tax payments that are received or postmarked by Dec. 3, according to the release.

On April 1, unpaid 2015 taxes will become delinquent.
