Solve to dedicate 100-year-old home to founder

MANATEE -- Solve Maternity Homes will offer tours at the open house for its renovated original Maternity Home from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8.

The 100-year-old Bradenton structure at 1509 Eighth Ave. W. in the Historic Ware's Creek District underwent substantial renovations this year. A dedication ceremony begins at 2 p.m.

Solve now has four maternity homes. This was the first and the favorite of founder, Helen Cadoret, who died in 2011. The historic home will be renamed "Helen's Home" in her honor.

Cadoret started Solve in 1976 as a Christ-centered crisis pregnancy center.

Local chapters of the Knights of Columbus will be honored in recognition of renovation project contributions.

Refreshments will be served.

RSVP: To OpenHouse@solvehomes.org or call 941-748-0094.
