18-year-old Parrish woman dies in Interstate 75 rollover crash, FHP says

An 18-year-old Parrish woman died Thursday night after she was ejected from her SUV during a rollover crash on Interstate 75, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the woman lost control of her 2003 Ford Escape while changing from the center lane into the left lane on northbound Interstate 75 near mile marker 208 in Sarasota County around 10:08 p.m. The SUV struck a concrete barrier before overturning several times.

The driver was ejected during the rollover and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the agency.

The crash remains under investigation.
