Bradenton woman dies in I-4 highway crash, Florida Highway Patrol says

A Bradenton woman died Saturday in a crash on Interstate 4 in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 24-year-old was driving a 2021 Kia Soul westbound on I-4 near Orange Camp Road, just east of DeLand, around 1:49 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a support pole for a travel sign near mile marker 114, FHP said.

Troopers said the woman, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

FHP has not released the woman’s name because next of kin have not been notified.

The crash remains under investigation as of Tuesday morning.
