25-year-old driver dies in fatal Manatee County crash, troopers say
A man died in Manatee County after he drove off the road and collided with an overpass column, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
At 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, a 25-year-old man from Orlando was driving his 2024 white Toyota Camry on Interstate 75, approaching mile marker 228, according to FHP.
The man failed to properly follow a turn on the interstate and drove off the road, colliding with a support column for one of the interstate’s overpasses, a crash report said.
Troopers have not released the driver’s name.
The 25-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene, and the crash remains under investigation, according to FHP.
