This Bradenton Riverwalk park will be closed for one month. Here’s why

A popular park on the Bradenton Riverwalk will close for about one month as the city completes an improvement project.

Rossi Park, 444 Third Ave. W., will be closed from Monday, May 18 to Thursday, June 25 for installation of new sunshade structures, the City of Bradenton announced in a social media post.

Most of the park, including the splash pad, pavilion, restrooms and lawn area, will be closed to the public, according to city officials.

The playgrounds will remain open and will be accessible from the Riverwalk.

“We know the splash pad is a popular spot this time of year, but these improvements will add much-needed shade and help make the area more comfortable for visitors once complete,” the social media post said.
