Bradenton man dies in motorcycle crash, Florida Highway Patrol says

A motorcycle rider from Bradenton died after he lost control of his bike and crashed on Saturday afternoon in Hillsborough County, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The wreck happened around 4:51 p.m., the agency said.

Troopers say the 61-year-old Bradenton man was riding a Honda motorcycle north on U.S. 41, in the Ruskin area. North of Saffold Park Drive, he lost control of the bike, which traveled off the road and crashed into a guardrail in the median, troopers say.

The Bradenton man died at the scene of the crash, FHP said.
