Deputies investigating 3 deaths at Lakewood Ranch home, sheriff’s office says
Manatee County deputies are investigating the deaths of a woman and two children found inside a Lakewood Ranch home Thursday night, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies went to a house in the 8200 block of Pavia Way around 8:30 p.m. to conduct a welfare check at the request of the homeowner, who was out of town, according to a news release.
When deputies arrived, they saw signs that led them to enter the home. Inside, they found an adult woman and two children dead, the sheriff’s office said.
Detectives have accounted for all parties involved and do not believe there is a threat to the community, the sheriff’s office said.
As of Friday morning, the sheriff’s office has not released the names or ages of the deceased.
The District 12 Medical Examiner will determine the official causes of death as detectives continue investigating what happened inside the home.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains active and more information will be released when available.
