Heading to the Bradenton Area River Regatta? Here are your parking options
Several parking options will be available around downtown for Saturday’s Bradenton Area River Regatta, including paid parking with shuttle service.
The huge annual event, featuring powerboat races, live music and other entertainment, begins Friday evening and runs throughout the day Saturday along both sides of the Manatee River. Ahead of the big event, city officials are reminding visitors where to park before getting in on the fun.
Free parking is available at city-owned parking garages and lots:
- City Centre Garage: Third Avenue West (Enter from 10th Street West)
- Manatee County Garage: 414 10th St. W.
- Judicial Center Garage: 615 12th St. W.
Additionally, the Bradenton Police Department highlighted two paid parking options for Saturday in a social media post.
LECOM Park lot, 1611 Ninth St. W., opens at 9:30 a.m. and includes a provided shuttle to the River Regatta, with a drop-off near the Twin Dolphin Marina. The first shuttle departs at 10 a.m. and the last at 7 p.m.
There will be no new parking after 4 p.m., and all vehicles must exit by 9 p.m. The LECOM lot costs $15 to park, and is card only. No cash will be accepted, according to the police department’s post.
Another paid parking option available on Saturday is at 600 15th St W. There is no shuttle service for this lot, and it is about a one-half mile walk from the River Regatta.
This lot costs $20 and also doesn’t accept cash. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Suncoast, according to the police department’s post.
There is no new parking in this lot after 4 p.m., and all vehicles must exit by 9 p.m.
The parking lot at Rossi Park is limited to visitors with VIP access, police said.
Visitors can take advantage of free shuttles run across the Green Bridge between Palmetto and Bradenton from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to a news release.
Road closures, including the Green Bridge and parts of Ninth Street West in Bradenton, will be in place throughout the day Saturday.
