35-year-old Bradenton pedestrian killed in fatal car crash, FHP says
A pedestrian died in a crash while attempting to cross a busy Bradenton road Monday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A passenger van, driven by a 41-year-old man from Bradenton, was traveling south on 14th Street West in the right lane near 28th Avenue West when a pedestrian entered his lane of traffic around 9:12 p.m., a release from the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man from Bradenton, was standing on the sidewalk before he entered the travel lanes, a crash report said. The vehicle collided with the pedestrian, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol, the release says.
