The last section of a Bradenton intersection has reopened after phases of wastewater utility repairs.

The initial work at the 17th Avenue West and 14th Street West intersection began on Oct. 10, and most of the intersection reopened on Oct. 30, “once the underground repairs and surface restoration were finished,” Tiffany Shadik, public information manager with the City of Bradenton, told the Bradenton Herald.

Despite this reopening, a westbound section of 17th Avenue West required additional work, making it the final section to reopen, according to Shadik.

Shadik also said that to complete the wastewater utility repairs, crews had to open the road to access the infrastructure under the pavement, then repair and restore the street.
