BODYBAR Pilates, a national fitness chain, is opening a studio at 5131 Moccasin Wallow Road in 2026.

The Palmetto location is by the Gateway Commons apartment complex near Interstate 75 and Moccasin Wallow Road.

A new two-story ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is planned for the nearby Woods of Moccasin Wallow shopping plaza.

The Pilates studio will open in early 2026, according to a news release.

Fitness company hosts local events ahead of new studio opening

To prepare for its opening, BODYBAR Pilates has multiple community events scheduled in November:

  • Pucks and Pilates on Saturday at 9 a.m. in Thunder Alley by Amalie Arena in Tampa. The event, which costs $50, includes a 50-minute mat class, custom Lightning Pilates grip socks and a ticket to the Lightning game against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday, Nov. 18. Registration is here.
  • Pilates, Beer and a Burger is slated for Thursday, Nov. 20 in the beer garden at Corporate Ladder Brewing in Palmetto. A 45-minute Pilates session precedes a beer and burger from Tower 10. The class starts at 3:30 p.m., with more information on BODYBAR’s Instagram page.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 22, there is an event in conjunction with Movement Market by Auriactive at the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa’s “Yard” area. BODYBAR Palmetto is conducting a mat Pilates class at 11:15 a.m. for $10. Registration is found here. The Movement Market event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and features vendors, fitness classes, ice plunges, a mobile golf simulator, coffee, music and food.

“These events give the Palmetto community a chance to experience the energy and strength of BODYBAR Pilates before our doors even open,” said Jessica Eldredge, BODYBAR Palmetto owner, in a news release. “We’re excited to meet our future members and introduce them to the BODYBAR way where Pilates meets the community.”

BODYBAR Pilates has locations in 20 states. The new studio will be the franchise’s second in Manatee County. The first one is located at 8540 Heritage Green Way in the Landing at Heritage Harbour shopping plaza just east of Interstate 75 off State Road 64 East.
