Bradenton woman dies in car crash on Cortez Road, troopers say
A 25-year-old Bradenton woman died in a crash early Sunday morning in Manatee County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened around 1:48 a.m. along Cortez Road West, near 44th Avenue East, the agency said in a news release.
Troopers say the woman was driving east on Cortez Road when she lost control of her car at a curve. The car traveled across a grass shoulder and collided with a light pole and utility pole, FHP said.
Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
