Driver killed in East Manatee County rollover crash, troopers say
A 25-year-old Wauchula man died Friday morning after his car overturned in eastern Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the man was driving west on State Road 62 around 9:10 a.m. when his sedan veered onto the north shoulder about a quarter-mile west of 455th Avenue East. The car rolled and landed on its side, according to a news release.
The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by Manatee County EMS, FHP said.
The FHP Traffic Homicide Unit continues to investigate the crash.
