Bradenton police investigating shooting, car crash near Riverwalk

Bradenton police are investigating a shooting and car crash in a parking lot along the Bradenton Riverwalk on Monday afternoon.

At 3:23 p.m., police said they received multiple 911 calls about a shooting and crash at the Bradenton Riverwalk parking area in the 100 block of Riverfront Boulevard, near the volleyball courts and skate park.

Police say an argument between people in two vehicles appears to have led to the shooting.

During the fight, a driver in a car hit one of the occupants of the second vehicle with his car, police said. Then someone inside the second vehicle fired several shots into the car, police said. Police did not report any injuries.

As the investigation continues, police said they have identified everyone involved in the incident and there is no threat to the public.

No other information was immediately available.
