The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said they are investigating a crash between an on-duty deputy and a motorcyclist in the in the 3600 block of 44th Avenue West in Bradenton.

An on-duty Manatee County deputy and a motorcyclist crashed early Thursday in Bradenton, the sheriff’s office said.

The crash happened around 6:19 a.m. in the 3600 block of 44th Avenue East, according to a news release by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and went to a local hospital for treatment, deputies said.

Further information about the crash was not immediately available Thursday afternoon.

The sheriff’s office said it is still investigating the crash.
