This bridge over the Manatee River will temporarily close Sunday. Here’s what to know
Bradenton-area drivers may need to adjust their routes on Sunday morning, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
Traffic officials say the Green Bridge, which connects Palmetto and Bradenton across the Manatee River, will be partially closed from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday for the Bradenton Riverwalk Half Marathon.
The temporary closure applies only to the bridge’s southbound lanes. Northbound lanes traveling to Palmetto will remain open.
FDOT urges drivers to use caution in the area. Detour signage will also be posted in the area, according to a news release.
Drivers can use the DeSoto Bridge to cross the Manatee River near Manatee Memorial Hospital as an alternate route.
