84-year-old Bradenton man dies in Interstate 75 crash, Florida Highway Patrol says

An 84-year-old Bradenton man died Wednesday after crashing into a tree along Interstate 75, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the man was driving a Toyota Sienna southbound on I-75 south of Big Bend Road when he lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons, entered the median and collided with a tree.

The driver died at the scene of the crash, according to a news release.

FHP said the accident happened around 2:21 p.m.
