When is trash pickup in Manatee County for Christmas and New Year’s holiday weeks?

Manatee County will not pick up trash or recycling on Christmas or New Year’s Day.

Trash, recycling and yard waste pickup will be one day late for the rest of the holiday weeks.

Residents should put live Christmas trees on the curb on their yard waste pickup day. Trees taller than four feet should be split into smaller sections, county officials said.

Residents should remove all ornaments, lights, tinsel, garland and other holiday decorations from their trees. Artificial trees cannot be recycled and must be thrown in the trash, county officials said.

Manatee County government offices and public libraries will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Manatee County public parks, preserves and beaches will be open on the holidays, but golf courses will be closed on Christmas.
