Manatee County’s newest Target store now open at Beachway Plaza in West Bradenton
The four-year wait for the new Target in West Bradenton is over.
The retailer is open for business ahead of its targeted grand opening date of Sunday, Aug. 18. The store, located at 7350 Manatee Ave. W. in the Beachway Plaza, has been in development since 2020 and marks the second Target for Bradenton.
The Beachway Plaza store opened Tuesday night with a soft opening for employees and their families. As of Wednesday, the store is open to the public with its regular hours, according to Shannon Plehn, a Target spokesperson.
“We’re excited to bring the joy of Target to new guests and help them discover a unique shopping experience tailored to the needs of the Bradenton community,” Plehn said in a news release.
The new Target store is open until 9 p.m. daily, opening at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Some store features include:
CVS Pharmacy
Starbucks Café
Liquor store
Drive Up service
Order Pickup and same-day delivery with Target Circle 360
The company, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, originally planned a 49,000-square-foot store but increased the size to 76,000 square feet in 2023. That puts it at the medium-sized level.
A 148,000-square-foot Target is planned for 725 Lighthouse Drive in the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour shopping center near Interstate 75 and State Road 64 with a yet-to-be-determined opening date.
Bradenton’s original Target is at 6150 14th St. W., in Bayshore Gardens. University Town Center just south of Manatee County has a Target, too, at 101 N. Cattleman Road.
