26-year-old dies in Bradenton crash after car slams into trees near US 301, FHP says

A 26-year-old Oklahoma man died in a fatal accident Monday morning on U.S. 301 in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 26-year-old Oklahoma man died Monday when he lost control of a Dodge Charger at a curve on U.S. 301 in Bradenton, troopers said.

The man was driving north on U.S. 301 near Ninth Street East at about 9:30 a.m. when the car left the road and hit a fence and a tree line, according to a Florida Highway Patrol crash report.

The man, whose name has not been released to the public, died at the scene, troopers said.

The crash is still under investigation. Further details were not available Monday afternoon.
