Bradenton police are investigating a death at the Bradenton Riverwalk, the police department said on Wednesday afternoon.

At around 11:10 a.m., Bradenton police and the Bradenton Fire Department were sent to the Riverwalk for a report of a possible drowning, police department spokesperson Meredith Censullo said.

Emergency responders pulled a dead man from the Manatee River, Censullo said.

Officers have set up a perimeter with crime scene tape in the 200 block of Riverside Drive East near Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Censullo said the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

“There is no indication of foul play, and there is no threat to the public,” the agency wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

No other information was immediately available.
