1 killed and another hurt in crash on State Road 70 in Manatee County, FHP says
A Bradenton woman was killed and another was hurt Wednesday night on State Road 70 East in Manatee County when a car hit a stopped SUV, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened at 10:46 p.m. when a car heading east on State Road 70 toward the intersection of 87th Street East rear-ended the SUV, troopers said.
The passengers of the SUV, a 50-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The older woman died at the hospital, troopers said.
The drivers of the car and the SUV suffered minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation. No other information was immediately available.
