A Michigan man died after suffering an undisclosed medical episode while driving an RV in Manatee County.

The Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release the 75-year-old man, of Long Lake, Michigan, was driving on State Road 64 East, west of 26th Street East, when the incident occurred Sunday around 12:30 p.m.

Traveling in a northwest direction, the driver was handling a curve to the right when the medical episode happened and the vehicle left the road, colliding with a wire fence and trees, the release said.

FHP said he was flown to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 73-year-old woman from Lakeville, Indiana, was a passenger and did not have any injuries, FHP said.

The crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
