73-year-old Bradenton woman hit by 2 vehicles, killed while crossing road, FHP says

A 73-year-old Bradenton woman died after being hit by two cars while crossing the road Tuesday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 73-year-old Bradenton woman died after being hit by two cars while crossing the road Tuesday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the woman was walking south across 26th Avenue East near 12th Street Court East in Bradenton around 8:27 p.m. when an SUV struck her. A second vehicle ran over the woman, as well, according to a news release.

The pedestrian, whose name has not been released by troopers, died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
