Two people in critical condition after shooting in Bradenton neighborhood, police say

Two adults are in critical condition at a local hospital following a shooting early Monday morning.

The Bradenton Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at around 5:20 a.m. in the 2000 block of 12th St. W., according to a press release.

The two injured people were only identified as a man and a woman, according to a police spokesperson. The release did not provide the names or ages of the victims.

Police say they are not looking for any suspects at this time, and the shooting appears to be an isolated event.

As of 11 a.m., police remained at the scene of the shooting.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
