Bradenton’s second Del Taco restaurant is now open. Here’s what to know
Del Taco has opened a second location in Manatee County, following the success of the first one on Manatee Avenue that was welcomed with long lines of eager customers.
Located at 5425 14th Street West in Bradenton, it’s the second Fresh Flex location of the popular Mexican quick-service food restaurant in the county.
California-based Del Taco offers features like dual drive-thru lanes and secure lockers for third-party to-go orders, according to a news release.
“Our first Fresh Flex location in Bradenton was such a hit in the local community that we wanted to expand Del Taco’s footprint and open a second restaurant to feed even more hungry diners,” store operator Benny Rosales said in a news release.
The first Fresh Flex location in Bradenton for Del Taco is located at 5610 Manatee Avenue and opened Nov. 22, 2022.
A second location originally was heading to 1708 Pope Road in the White Eagle Shopping Center, south of State Road 64, according to paperwork filed with Manatee County Building Services in March.
However, the company that began in 1964 chose 14th Street West for the second Manatee County location.
“Fresh Flex layouts are designed to provide a more streamlined and convenient experience for the guest and showcase Del Taco’s working kitchen,” the news release said.
Each dish is made fresh, according to the news release, with ingredients such as carne asada steak, cheddar cheese, slow-cooked beans made from scratch and house-made guacamole.

Del Taco has nearly 600 restaurants in 15 states. Other Florida stores are located in Kissimmee, Melbourne, Orlando and Santa Rosa Beach.
