The Pittsburgh Pirates announced their 2024 Spring Training schedule on Tuesday.
Of their 31 spring games, 16 are scheduled for Bradenton’s LECOM Park. The home opener is slated for Sunday, Feb. 25, against the Baltimore Orioles.
The Buccos have called Bradenton their spring home since 1969, and the bulk of next year’s Grapefruit League action takes place in March.
Some of the highlights include:
- March 10 when the Philadelphia Phillies visit for the only time in a Battle of the Keystone State teams.
- March 17 when the Tampa Bay Rays roll into town as the Pirates’ St. Patrick’s Day opponent.
- March 23 when the Boston Red Sox come to Bradenton for the only time in the spring season.
- March 24 when the New York Yankees visit Bradenton for the only time.
- March 25 when the Pirates wrap their spring campaign up with a game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Ticket prices, on-sale dates and game times are yet to be determined. However, a full schedule of games — home and away — can be found at pirates.com/springtraining.
