Which now-closed Manatee County restaurants were the best? Cast a vote in our bracket
As part of the Bradenton Herald’s 100th birthday celebration, we asked which restaurants you miss the most, and now we’re narrowing the list down to the favorites for a real taste of nostalgia.
Food nostalgia — I guess the best way to describe it is like sitting at the intersection of 27th St. E. in Bradenton and waiting for the light to change. You flashback to the first time someone handed you a vanilla and orange swirl cone from Mixon Fruit Farms, and you remember frantically trying to eat it up before the sun does.
Last week, the Herald polled readers to find out which closed Manatee County restaurant has you longing for the past.
From that poll, we have composed a bracket to see which restaurants hold the fondest memories among residents and visitors in the Bradenton area.
Below you will find our latest bracket. You’ll have a week to vote for two of your favorites, and a story with the results will be posted later.
In addition, for nostalgia’s sake, here are a few more restaurants you may recall seeing around Bradenton in the past.
- Dick’s Dog House
- Kissin Cuzzins Pancake Inn
- Lantern Chinese Restaurant
- enRich Bistro (which is set to return)
- O’Shucks Raw Bar and Grill
- Zorba’s Pizza
- Panda Garden Restaurant
