79-year-old man has been missing for a week, Manatee County sheriff says

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said Monday they are still looking for a man suffering from dementia since he went missing nearly a week ago, and they are asking for the public’s help in locating him.

Frederick Bacon, 79, was last seen walking in the 4900 block of 32nd Street East at around 11 p.m. last Tuesday.

He was described as wearing a purple sweatshirt, dark blue slacks, black leather dress shoes and was carrying a black toiletry bag.

Fredrick is 5 feet 10 inches and weighs 125 lbs and has dementia, which can cause confusion and disorientation.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them at 941-757-3011.
