Manatee County Government wants to help residents enjoy the summer by making county pools and splash parks free this summer.

Beginning May 27, all county-owned pools and splash pads will be free for all residents, the county said in a press release Tuesday.

With Manatee County School District students’ last day of school on May 26, the free pool option is one summer activity children can take part in throughout their summer vacation.

“This is a great opportunity for everyone in our community to experience our great facilities,” Deputy Director of the Sports & Leisure Services Department Molly White said in a news release. “And those facilities are expanding.”

The pools at G.T. Bray Park and Lincoln Aquatic Center will be open for two swim sessions each day, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2-4 p.m., until capacity is reached.

Here is a list of county pools and splash pads that will be open this summer.
